Career Talks

Your career could inspire someone's future.

A learner's understanding of the future can change when they meet someone who has already walked the path they are considering.

Our Career Talks connect learners in Grades 10–12 with young professionals who share their experiences of work, tertiary education and professional life.

Your Profession

What you do, how you got there, the opportunities available and the skills your profession requires.

Your Tertiary Experience

What you studied, where you studied, the journey you experienced and the lessons you learned.

Work-Life Balance

The realities of professional life — responsibility, pressure, time, wellbeing and maintaining a life beyond work.

Volunteer commitment

We encourage Career Talk Volunteers to commit, where possible, to approximately four school visits per year.

This is a preferred commitment, not an employment contract. Career Talk Volunteers are not employees of The Gift of Education, and each visit is arranged by agreement.

Volunteer with us

Tell us about your profession and experience. We will review your information and contact you regarding the next steps.

Sending this form does not confirm your place as a volunteer — every Career Talk is arranged with the schools and volunteers involved.
