We want everyone to be able to use our website, whatever their device or ability.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard for accessibility. In practice, that means:
- Readable text and strong colour contrast.
- Alt text on images and clear labels on forms.
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus.
- A responsive layout that works on modest devices and slow connections.
- Plain, honest language.
- Low-data design, so connectivity is not a barrier.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is continuous work. Some third-party or older content may not yet fully conform, and we are improving it as we go.
